This painting is based on a yantra I encountered at a Goddess temple deep in the jungle during my last trip to India. Besides the ancient temple at Vajreshwari Gunj Katti, a stone plinth had been engraved with this sacred symbol.

The energy at that site was powerful. Around the yantra, I have painted the mantra of the Goddess, layering sound and symbol, geometry and invocation.

This is a work of contemporary sacred feminine art, holding the potent vibrational essence of yantra and mantra that I have painted around the yantra, and honouring the wisdom and mystery of India’s temple traditions.

A devotional and meditative piece, rich with spiritual energy, perfect for altars, studios, or collectors of mystical, goddess-based art.
